In 2014, Bitsight decided to invest in the Portuguese company AnubisNetworks and established its office for Europe, the Middle East, and Africa in Portugal. This team has been growing and now has more than 270 employees. The goal is to continue expanding the business.

Stephen Boyer , who recently moved to Portugal, explains in detail the reasons behind the investment and growth plans. “We found highly skilled people in Portugal who speak good English, and the country is relatively close to Boston [Bitsight's headquarters], with a time difference of only five hours ,” says the Bitsight co-founder and Chief Innovation Officer , also mentioning that the country is beautiful and has fantastic cuisine.
“We’ve been here for 10 years and Europe is our fastest growing region. Given the demand we see, there’s an opportunity to continue growing ,” says Stephen Boyer, admitting that the number of resources could double in a short space of time. “We are recruiting very aggressively,” he states, highlighting opportunities not only in technical areas, but also in languages, sales and customer support.
Leading operations in the EMEA region from Portugal, Stephen Boyer acknowledges that the level of cybersecurity in Africa is still very low. "We work with some countries, but they have few resources and are only just beginning ," he admits, noting that South Africa is more advanced and has some potential. This is a business based on information that enables the building of cybersecurity.
