Kiwa in Portugal provides digital solutions and specialized Inspection, Certification, Testing, Training and Consulting services in the industry, energy, construction, infrastructure, renewables, agri-food and forestry markets.

In 2018, Kiwa Portugal began operations with the acquisition of Sativa, whose main areas of activity are Organic Agriculture, Protected Designation of Origin and Protected Geographical Indication, Integrated Production, and Optional Labeling. It also carries out product control and/or certification within the framework of GFSI-designated systems, namely GLOBALGAP, BRC – Global Food Standard, IFS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000, HACCP, and social and environmental responsibility, forest management, among other private certification schemes developed.

In 2024 Kiwa acquired EQS Global, an engineering and technology services company specializing in Asset and Risk Management, now becomes an integral part of Kiwa Portugal.​

The expertise of EQS Global in engineering and asset management in the energy, renewable energy, industry, infrastructure and sustainability sectors, will complement Kiwa’s portfolio of services for the industry, further strengthening the company’s presence in the Portuguese market. This is another step in Kiwa’s strategy to expand its Inspection, Certification and Testing services.
