Professional internship is practical training in a work context that aims to complement and improve the trainee's skills, aiming at their insertion in active life.

- • Addressees: Unemployed people registered with employment services.
- • Contract: The realization of the intership depends on the signature of a contract between both parties, being subject to the written form.
- • Duration: The intership contract lasts for 9 months, with exceptions.
- • Remuneration: All professional interships receive an intership scholarship, where the amounts are defined according to qualifications (Art. 12).
- • Food allowance: The intern is due to pay a food allowance or free access to the meal.
- • Workplace accident insurance: Trainees must have insurance against accidents at work.
Several companies are willing to promote professional interships.
