MOV.AI Robotics

Founded in Lisbon in 2016, MOV.AI is a Robotics Engine platform based on ROS. It contains everything needed to build, deploy and operate intelligent robots.

MOV.AI completely changes the way Autonomous Mobile Robots are developed, in terms of time to market, cost and flexibility.

As part of our commitment to innovation and professional growth, MOV.AI is opening a new trainee program to welcome new engineers to the professional world of robotics. If you are in the areas of mechanical/mechatronics engineering, electrical and computer engineering or similar and want to work in the robotics area, this program is for you!

As a trainee, you will join the Customer and Integration teams, gaining comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience across all areas of the company. Throughout your journey, you will develop new features, test your work on both robots and simulations, integrate new robots or hardware with MOV.AI software, explore and test the full range of MOV.AI features, and visit clients to deploy and operationalize complete systems.

You should be technically oriented and enjoy solving complex challenges. Ultimately, you should be innovative, open-minded, and an excellent troubleshooter.

You will exercise your creativity and problem-solving skills every day as you participate in developing new features, functionalities and bring to fruition market and production ready solutions.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

- Integration of the MOV.AI software in new robots.
- Learning and testing new software features (e.g. localization, navigation)
- Development of software functionalities for robots (AMRs).
- Responsible for setting up and testing the final robotic solutions.
- Participation in creating project timelines and task breakdowns.
- Communication with customers on a regular basis to ensure a positive experience.
- Deployment of systems in client.

REQUIREMENTS

- Experience in robotic systems (real-world robot systems in lab and/or industry)
- BSc/MSc in mechanical/electrical/robotics/AI/computer science engineering
- Experience developing in Python and/or C++ (Must)
- Experience with ROS (Nice 2 have)
- Experience with Linux (Nice 2 have)
- Mandatory Fluent English skills (written and spoken)
