What does #company_title do?

The Navigator Company is an integrated producer of forestry, pulp and paper, tissue and energy. Its activity based on modern large-scale factories, with cutting-edge technology make the company a benchmark for quality in the sector. We are the third largest exporter in Portugal and the largest generator of National Added Value, representing approximately 1% of the national GDP, about 3% of the national exports of goods, close to 6% of the total containerized cargo exported by the national ports. Currently, our installed capacity is around 1,6 million tons of paper, 1,5 million tons of pulp (80% integrated into paper), 130 thousand tons of tissue and 2,5 TWh/year of electrical energy. Open to the world, our products are destined for approximately 130 countries on five continents, with emphasis on Europe and the USA, thus achieving the broadest international presence among Portuguese companies. We also stand out in the production of energy from biomass:

  • More than 50% of the total energy produced in Portugal from biomass is generated by The Navigator Company.
  • 5% of the total electricity production in Portugal is generated by the Company.

Navigator is the European leader in the production of uncoated fine printing and writing papers (UWF) and sixth worldwide. We are also the largest European producer, and the fifth largest worldwide, of bleached eucalyptus kraft pulp (BEKP). In Mozambique, we continue to make progress with the largest integrated forestry pulp production project in the country. In Western Europe, the strategy of innovation and development of own brands and premium products translates into a market share of 19% in the UWF and around 50% in the premium segment.
